LIBERTAD's HERE TO STAY!!!!

Let It Roll
.... and there begins a rockathon of riffs, punching basslines... Think Forward! That's exactly what these guys in VR have decided.... She Mine takes one back to the AIC age... dark yet very poppy! On Get Out The Door, Weiland's vocal shape-shifting's personified! Slash's voicebox does the talking and leaves the rest to Scott to scream his a** off! She Builds Quick Machines seems to me the weakness of this album, not to take anything away from the album, but its a fact... it is the weakest song on the album... Slash's solo levels things a bit... The Last Fight is a slow melody, all about Slash this time. One thing's for sure, this one will be a big hit! Pills, Demons, Etc. rests on a killer riff but the rest needs some getting used to. American Man punks things up great! Great bridge, even better Solo (Slash is back), a complete song and one people can sing along to. Mary, Mary brings back memories of STP, good Rock N' Roller! The album does seem to give a punk feel after The Last Fight, very evident! Just Sixteen is THE song which one can never get bored of! Two solos from Slash leave listeners pumped up! Can't Get It Out Of My Head has a melancholic touch to it... its a cover version of an ELO song btw. Brendan O' Brien's decision is justified! This is a helluva cover! And I can't get it out of my head, to be frank! For A Brother is catchy, with Scott perfect on vocals, good bridge too and Slash? well, need i say anything?! Rock N' Roll's BACK!!!!!! Listen to Spay and you'll be left wondering if Cobain's back because this song has that Nirvana sound to it! It's up with the likes of GOTD, JS and SM... And btw, the song's aimed at the Paris Hiltons of our generation! LOL!!!! Things have to come to an end and to do exactly that there's Gravedancer... a perfect finish! Don't turn that system off because there's a hidden track Don't Drop That Dime. After listening to this song you'll be more than convinced that these guys can pull off anything!

So have these guys improved? Ofcourse they have! Libertad is way better than Contraband and goes places where the debut couldn't. While Contraband was a way too serious album, Libertad is FUN all the way!
